DR. JACK KAVANAUGH: A BUSINESSMAN WITH FORESIGHT

For a businessman, patience and foresight are the two main qualities that are required to achieve success. If these attributes are coupled up with dedication and hard work, then he is bound to achieve success. Owing to these character strengthening constituents present in him, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh established himself as an eminent businessman and achieved remarkable success in the medical field. He fought against all the odds that threatened to disrupt his life and overcame them with his determination and perseverance.

After completing his dentistry from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1973, Dr. Kavanaugh started serving as a CEO to an organization owning a chain of clinics in Nevada and California. Everything was under control until he met with an accident while skiing and got his neck and legs injured. This unfortunate incident ultimately forced him to quit his practice as a dentist.

However, this could not dampen his spirits and he went on to earn his MBA degree from UCLA. Then he started afresh by working in mergers and acquisitions. Later, he co-founded the International Strategy Consulting Group with one of his former partners in 1984. Even though he had stabilized his career in private equity, he being an ambitious person, decided to further his studies in science and medicine.

He went to the University of Southern California, where he completed his M.D. degree and his surgical residency from Jules Stein Institute affiliated to UCLA. In his first year of residency, he founded Amerident, a company providing health care services. The solutions provided by them were so popular that they received above 30 community service awards and one state congressional medal.
 

With innumerable innovative ideas and outstanding leadership qualities, he has helped to develop several businesses, which include Tech Team Global, whose share price increased from 11 cents to $27 each. In 2000, he arranged the first board meeting for Calhoun Vision, Inc., a biotechnology firm that introduced the first light adjustable intraocular lens and served as its board member and chairman from the same year.

In 2008, he set up ZetaRx Biosciences, Inc., which became the leader in immunotherapy applied in treating cancer. He also co-founded Novonco Therapeutics, Inc., a pioneering company making innovations in the field of epigenetic and other therapeutic researches. His superior management skills resulted in thriving results for the organizations he got associated with, including PreCash that had a major turnaround in terms of profit.

Over the years, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh has established and supervised various companies creating next-generation medical treatments that have touched life. Apart from them, he is also involved actively with numerous charitable efforts, including the City of Hope National Medical Center, The Art of Elysium, and Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
