DR. JACK KAVANAUGH AND HIS FAR GOING VISION
Far-going
vision, continuous hard work, and staying persistent are the ingredients needed
for a successful outcome. Where almost every person looks to apply these
strengthening constituents, they hold a different perspective while speaking of
vision, but which one is the most appropriate? Let’s find an answer to this
with the success story of a celebrated dentist, businessman, and
ophthalmologist Dr. JackKavanaugh.
Dr.
Jack completed his dentistry from the University of California, Los Angeles
after which he served as a CEO to a company that owned a chain of clinics in
Nevada and California. Things were running well till he met a skiing accident
and got his neck and legs injured. This ultimately stopped him from continuing
his practice as a dentist.
However,
this didn’t mean the end of the world to him and he earned his MBA degree from
the University of California, Los Angeles. He then worked in mergers and
acquisitions and later on co-founded International Strategy Consulting Group in
1984.
Even
after having a stabilized career in private equity, he went to the University
of Southern California and completed his M.D. degree, followed by his surgical
residency from Jules Stein Institute, U.C.L.A. When he was in the first year of
his residency he founded Amerident, a provider for health care service. The
exemplary amenities provided by them received more than 30 community service
awards and also one state congressional medal.
With
innumerous innovative ideas and leadership skills, he uplifted several
businesses. This includes Tech Team, whose share price rose from 11 cents to
$27 each. In the year 2000, he arranged the first board meeting for a
biotechnology firm Calhoun Vision, Inc., it came with the first light
adjustable intraocular lens. From 2000, he served it as the board member and as
chairman from the year 2008 to 2012.
In
the year 2008, he started with ZetaRx Biosciences, Inc., a leading company for
immunotherapy, the treatment of cancer. He is also a co-founder of Novonco
Therapeutics, inc., a firm that delivered excellent outcomes in epigenetics and
different platform therapeutic research. His leadership skills have resulted in
thriving results for several firms, including PreCash, which got a major
turnaround in terms of profit.
