As an ophthalmologist and entrepreneur, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh has been involved with the creation and management of several groundbreaking biotechnology firms, including Calhoun Vision, Inc. As a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dr. Jack Kavanaugh served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Amerident, a 12-clinic organization of family dentistry offices he formed in the 1990s. Amerident earned numerous accolades and awards under Dr. Jack Kavanaugh’s leadership and provided much-needed care to young patients from underserved communities throughout the state of Nevada. Participating in an extensive variety of philanthropic projects aside from the aforementioned professional pursuits. Jack Kavanaugh began his distinctive career as a highly successful dentist. A major skiing accident in which he broke his neck and shattered his leg, prevented him from practicing dentistry again. From this turning point, Kavanaugh went on to earn his M.B.A. from U.C.L.A., then worked in mergers and acquisitions with a former partner who had been managing director / senior partner at McKenzie International. In 1984, they formed International Strategy Consulting Group a management and M.B.A. consulting firm. In the late ‘80’s. Dr. Jack Kavanaugh brought Tech Team, later known as Team Global, public.
